We’ve made some small adjustments to the decor this year since taking down all the Christmas decor, so come along with me as I share our 2022 home decor refresh!

Happy Wednesday, friends! I have been slowly but surely refreshing each space in our house over the past few weeks – which is no easy task when the fatigue and nausea of pregnancy are at hand. BUT – they are starting to improve finally which means I was able to get almost all of our Christmas decor put away with the exception of our trees, which will be taken down this weekend hopefully, to finish out our home decor refresh! I love doing a personal refresh, but some people need that extra little bit of help to get their house looking the way they want it to, so if you are in the same boat, then you may want to look into an interior designer for hire and discuss with them your vision so you are getting what you want and having the house of your dreams all-year-round. It is also now the best time to take a look at your home for the new year and see what else you can get your hands on for a complete refresh and I am not just talking about the things you see visibly, for example, you may want to look at how you can contact Pure Air for all your dryer vent cleaning needs, for example, as well as speak to an electrician about updating your electrics around the house. What’s the point of changing the look but not the core.
Today I wanted to bring you inside and show y’all what I’ve done so far to refresh the space, and hopefully provide some inspiration for your own decor refreshes! This is always a challenging time to decorate for, this “in between the holidays and true spring” time. I think a lot of that has to do with the excessive amount of snow we still have blanketing the yard! I really embraced neutrals in some key new elements of decor this year and could not be happier with the results! Check out and shop the various spaces below!

Ah, the joys of refreshing your home when you’re battling pregnancy fatigue—nothing like trying to give your space a facelift while feeling like you might nap at any moment! But hey, at least the Christmas decor is mostly put away (minus the trees—because who doesn’t want to keep that festive cheer alive well into February, right?). And let’s not forget those invisible refreshes like dryer vent cleaning and updating electrics—because who wouldn’t want a Pinterest-worthy home that also doesn’t catch fire? Kudos for balancing the home makeover and keeping it all looking fab, despite the snow (and nap breaks)!

These are very good tips for a home decor refresh. Please let me add one tip of my own, if you don’t mind. Wallpaper is a great way to add some character to your home, but you’ll want to choose wisely. The design of the room should be taken into consideration before making a decision.
Different rooms in the house have different needs. For example, if you have a kitchen with an open floor plan and it’s the only room in your house that has natural light coming in, it would be best for you to go with lighter colors that feel more airy and spacious. If you’re living room is bright and sunny all day long, darker colors might work better for you because they’ll absorb more light and keep your space feeling cozy and warm.
