We are gearing up this spring for a renovation of our first floor powder room, and I am so excited to share with y’all our plans!

Hey friends! It’s been a while since I shared an inspiration board, so I’m super pumped for today’s post! We are gearing up for a powder room renovation this spring and I’m sharing all our ideas with y’all today. I’ve felt my home decor style shifting towards a modernized version of western lodge styles: think cozy Alpine cabins but elevated and simplified for every day life and every season. With that in mind, I wanted to go with a captivating wallpaper for this space, and pair it with a beautiful rustic wood beamed ceiling to add bold interest to the space, similar to the ceiling in this mudroom:

I got a number of wallpaper samples from Spoonflower – they make the most gorgeous grasscloth wallpaper and I knew I wanted to use that texture in this space too. We used their grasscloth wallpaper for our son’s nursery and I love that it gives a beautiful organic vibe to the room. These cow print and buffalo print options were contenders. . . but we settled on a beautiful herringbone print at last.
