Hey friends! Fall is in the air and today I’m sharing a fall 2023 capsule wardrobe that is easy to assemble and will provide you with a beautiful neutral base for putting together all kinds of stylish autumn outfits! Let’s jump right in!
What are the components of a capsule wardrobe?
The ideal fall 2023 capsule wardrobe will contain a collection of complementary basics that are appropriate for the fall season. It is important to think about both the functionality of the pieces in terms of how many outfit combinations you are able to achieve, as well as complementary colors. I tend to lean towards a neutral color palette of whites, blacks, creams and beiges, and so this will be my usual color palette regardless of season. Fo r the fall I do sometimes like to add some darker jewel-toned hues such as a rich burgundy or a gorgeous forest green to get me in the autumn sprit!
So what do we need in our fall 2023 capsule wardrobe?
- 3-5 shirts/blouses
- 3-5 sweaters
- 3-4 pairs of pants
- 1 skirt
- 1 blazer
- 1-2 dresses/sweater dresses
- 2-3 pairs of boots/booties (ideally at least one pair of shorter booties and one pair of taller boots)
- 1-2 pairs of flats (ballet flats, loafers)
- 1 seasonal hat
- 1 scarf
- 1 jacket
- 1 tote bag
