There are certain pieces that every wardrobe needs, and today I’m sharing my top five fall investment pieces!
Happy Friday, friends! It’s finally the weekend, and I’m so excited to share today’s post! There are certain items that every wardrobe should have, and these are my top five investment pieces for fall 2022! Scroll down to read all about the items and why I think they are essentials, then check out the links to shop these items!
1: a chic (and warm!) wool coat
This longline wrap coat by Ted Baker was an investment piece for me, and I love the unique belt loop detail! There are lots of other longline chic coats available out there, and I’m linking a few other good options below! A classic wool coat is a must-have in any fall wardrobe, because it allows you to have a fairly thin coat to layer over your outfit, but the wool still keeps you super warm!
2: a cozy cardigan sweater
Cardigans are my favvvorite type of sweater for the fall (and winter!), and a staple fall investment piece. I love a chunkier knit like this fluffy cardigan by Abercrombie (sized down for a more fitted, less oversized look). I love that a cardigan allows you to be versatile in terms of how you layer it! Some of the most common pieces I layer underneath a cardigan this time of year are a black bodysuit or a simple white relaxed v-neck t-shirt.
3: a neutral felt hat
A good hat can make or break any outfit, and adding one to a fall outfit is the perfect way to top off any cute autumn look! I love this felt one by Treasure & Bond and am a huge fan of all of their felt hats usually, but I’ve linked some other ones below as well because this one has been sold out for some time now. I love to keep my hats neutral colored, such as beige, taupe, ivory, brown, or black, so it goes with a lot of different looks!
4: comfy skinny jeans
A comfortable pair of skinny jeans is another one of my top fall investment pieces for 2022! Some of the wider leg and flare jeans are coming back in style (which I love!). But a high quality pair of well-fitting jeans is always a good bet in the fall and winter because they are so easy to style with multiple types of boots and booties.
5: a pair of chunky chelsea boots
And last but not least, a pair of chunky chelsea boots will feel welcome in any respectable fall wardrobe! Paired with a cozy knit cardigan and some comfy skinny jeans, this makes the perfect outfit for all fall festivities: from hitting up the cider mill to picking out pumpkins!
