Today on the blog, I’m sharing all my favorite finds for modern farmhouse halloween decor, everything from cute felted pumpkins to the perfect spooky wall art!
I love Halloween, you guys, and I love decorating for it! You may have seen some of this year’s fall decor last month in this post, and so in honor of the fact that we are renovating our home in a modern farmhouse style, today I’m sharing my top ten favorite modern farmhouse halloween decor ideas!
1. felted pumpkins
These felted pumpkins from World Market remind me of the set I picked up a few weeks ago from Home Goods, but they are super cute because they are mini sized! These would be perfect for adding to your tablescape decor, or decorating a bookshelf with!
2. diy halloween poison bottles
I love this DIY Halloween potion bottle idea by The 36th Avenue! This easy project can turn some old jars (that we both know you have sitting around your house, just like I do 😀 ) into some spooky poison and potion bottles, perfect for adorning a bookshelf or tablescape this season!
3. diy printable apothecary labels
Similarly, Lia Griffith has an adorable and quick DIY for transforming old jars and bottles into apothecary bottles! I love this because you can easily go to your local thrift store and find some bottles and jars with unique sizes, styles and colors and then jazz them up with these easy to print labels. Perfect and fast!
4. a spooky themed wreath
A rustic, spooky wreath is the perfect addition to your front door, and this one featured in Harper’s Bazaar is my favorite! I rounded up some similar styles below, or be really creative and grab your own bare wreath and add bats, spiders, or cobwebs of your own!
5. fill your porch with fall flowers
Tis the season for mums, and mums in these large crocks are just perfect for your front door decor! I love how these crocks really lend a farmhouse vibe to any porch, and paired with pumpkins or hay bales, they are perfect for the whole fall season!
6. creepy wall decor
Don’t confine your Halloween decor to just tables, mantles, and your front steps! I love this mantle wallscape of spiders crawling along their cobwebs, and it would be so simple to recreate in your home too! You could also round up your favorite moody, spooky wall art, which would be a great complement to other Halloween decorations in your home.
7. swap out your usual decor signs for festive versions!
I just fell for these beautiful signs by Sincerely Us, thanks to this post by Tatertots & Jello! I absolutely love the idea of swapping out artwork to match the seasons, and Sincerely Us’s “Trick or Treat Yo Self” sign is perfect for October!
8. diy wooden halloween sign
Or… make your own sign! This pumpkin patch sign by Sincerely, Sara D. is just too cute, and it is a perfect addition to any modern farmhouse Halloween decor setup!
9. diy spiderweb artwork
If wall signs aren’t your thang, that’s okay: these DIY hanging spiderweb frames by Twelve on Main are so simple, so cute, and only require a few materials!
10. use vintage decor pieces for inspiration!
And lastly, one of my favorite ways to capture the modern farmhouse vibe for the Halloween and fall season is to incorporate vintage pieces into my decor. For example, this vintage food scale vignette by Clean and Scentsible is the perfect way piece to which you can add all kinds of fall decor pieces, such as pumpkins, apples, or leaves!
