The Thanksgiving season (and eventually the Christmas season!) is upon us, and it’s my favorite time of the year to decorate for! This year I’m going for a more neutral look for our Thanksgiving tablescape, and I wanted to share it with you guys today.

I picked up this gorgeous gray checkered tablecloth from Amazon, and I could not be happier with this piece. The pattern and color are perfect for the neutral look I had in mind, and it is also something that can be used year round depending on the rest of the decor.

To warm up the palette I decided to use lots of gold accents, primarily in the form of candlestick holders as well as gold flatware. I paired beautiful dark charcoal linen napkins with black foam pumpkins, which I purchased on Amazon and easily spray painted in the garage before nestling them in an artificial boxwood garland. You could also use fresh if you prefer, but I love these garlands that I can use year after year!

Lastly, I added some natural elements with twine napkin rings and these beautiful wooden charger plates. I love how fresh and inviting the table looks, and can’t wait to invite friends and family over to share in some delicious stuffing and turkey!
