Happy Monday, friends! I recently upgraded my makeup routine with a new makeup vanity setup, and for anyone else looking to organize their own makeup station I thought I would share this space with y’all today! I absolutely love the new setup I have: previously my makeup consisted of standing in front of the bathroom mirror for 15-20 minutes each morning. I had to take all my make up out of the cupboard and then put it all back afterwards – super inconvenient! My new makeup vanity setup makes getting ready a breeze! Read on for all the details about the setup!

the vanity

Okay so technically not a vanity, per se. To broaden my search I looked for desks that were not too deep, with drawers, and beautiful aesthetic. I’ve always loved the bamboo leg style of furniture and so this desk draw my interest right away! I love that it has drawer space in addition to lots of counter space for other organization pieces, and it was easy to assemble and well-priced!

the organization accessories

I used a couple of extra pieces to organize my makeup on top of the vanity, namely this acrylic drawer organizer and a vintage milk glass vase. Adding a beautiful jar or vase to your vanity space is the perfect way to store makeup brushes, or you could even use one to store other items like mascaras, eye liners, and lip liners. I use my drawers mainly to store foundations, makeup sponges, primers and all of my eyeshadow/bronzer/contouring palettes, while the acrylic drawers are reserved for blushes, concealers, and all my other eye and lip products.

the mirror

My Riki Loves Riki mirror is seriously one of the best purchases I’ve made from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I use it every single time I do my makeup – the light quality is amazing! It also has an attachment for magnifying mirror which is perfect for eyebrow shaping, and an attachment for taking selfies. Worth every penny!
