Happy Monday, y’all! I’m happy today because I’ve finally been feeling better after feeling pretty crummy all week last week and having to take two sick days 🙁 That’s no fun, so it’s nice to feel like I’m getting back to usual!

Today I’ve got a new favorite look for you that I think is so versatile: this pink turtleneck sweater and green velvet skirt outfit! I ironically purchased both of these items together from the J.Crew line at Nordstrom, and had no intention of wearing them together until they showed up at my doorstep! I tried them both on and was super excited when they looked this cute together: hence this post!

I love this outfit because it’s really versatile. You can dress this up for a winter night out with your friends or hubby with some black suede heeled boots, or dress it down with these flatter boots which are perfect for work. It’s also a really great combination year-round: in the spring or the fall I can just lose the black tights and throw on some nude pumps in place of the booties for a more transitional look!

And it seems like I got these pieces just in time as the cold weather is finally picking up here in Michigan! When I woke up this morning and Alexa told me it was 12 degrees outside, I literally wanted to snuggle back up under the covers. But this cozy merino wool blend turtleneck is the perfect cure for any 12 degree day – I promise 🙂
