Happy Monday, y’all! We re in the final countdown, with week 38 of this pregnancy upon us! We hustled a lot the past few weeks to finish baby girl’s nursery, and although we do have one more task to finish before she comes (replace the closet door!), we are so excited for her to enjoy this space one day soon!

I spent a lot of time on Pinterest searching for inspiration photos, because there are just so many cute nurseries out there! But when I saw this Magnolia Home wallpaper at Anthropologie, the whole vision began to coalesce: a peaceful room filled with lots of natural colors, textures, and patterns, accented by pink.

We painted the walls the same color as the rest of the house will (eventually) be, and learned how to throw up that pre-pasted wallpaper! Which while it was a fiasco (consisting of me insisting for a full 15 minutes that I’d purchased peel-and-stick wallpaper before I re-read the packaging and the hubs and I had to make another trip to Menards…), I think it turned out great and was a great test of our patience as a couple 😀

I knew I wanted a bit of metal accents, and so when I saw this gold metal crib from Wayfair, I knew we had to make that a part of the design! The rest of the major pieces fell into place after, including a beautiful white dresser paired with a vintage dresser for changing and clothing storage, that cozy pink velvet chair (yasss I seriously love this piece so much!), and lots of cozy rugs, blankets, and pillows for layering!

So without further adieu, scroll down for the before and after photos and to shop the whole room!

before…

The bedrooms were pretty bland and basic, so a clean slate to work from (once we removed the popcorn ceilings, of course!):
