I’m sharing my weekend getaway outfit from our recent trip to Mackinac Island! These floral pants are my new fav, and pair easily with a simple blouse!

Last weekend we headed to Mackinac Island for a long weekend getaway with my husband’s family, and it was such a good time! I’ll be posting my “must do” travel guide for the Island next week, but today I wanted to share another of my favorite outfits from the trip!

I shared our trip details for day one over in this post (and seriously, I can’t even with that chambray dress! It’s my new fav!), so today I’ll be sharing our day two details. We stayed at the Grand Hotel during our trip, and I really recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a special trip. It is definitely on the pricier side, but if you factor in the fact that you receive a delicious gourmet breakfast and dinner each day, it becomes more cost-effective. And the Grand Hotel dining room is where you want to eat! It’s a full five-course meal for dinner, and breakfast can also be a multi-course affair with a buffet as well. The food is absolutely delicious, and for an extra cost you can choose to eat at their lunch buffet as well (where I would strongly recommend piling your plate full of oysters and shrimp primarily 😀 ).

Unfortunately, Saturday was a pretty rainy day, and so we started with a delicious breakfast in the Grand Hotel dining room. In between rain clouds, we managed to walk into town and visit the Butterfly Garden, which was quite a sight! It was mesmerizing to sit on their benches and watch all the beautiful butterflies fluttering around.

Then we walked around town and shopped a little (if you’re looking for home decor, they have some adorable stores, including Canvas & Paddle, a super cute home decor store with a rustic camping vibe. Love it!)

We headed back to the hotel and while my husband spent the rainy afternoon golfing, I opted to stay dry inside and spend sometime blogging in their cafe. Before dinner, we headed out for photos on the famous front porch (the one from Somewhere in Time!) and came across this giant chess board! How cute!
