Monday Musings – January 4, 2015

Monday Musings is a weekly post I started where I highlight all of the amazing things that have been going on the past week that I have to be thankful for, along with a few incredible things I’ve found across the blogosphere and internet. Here are my Monday Musings for last week!

We just returned on Saturday from 8 days in Walt Disney World! It was packed with a ton of fun, and here are some of the highlights for this weeks Monday Musings:

We were lucky enough to snag a reservation at the new Morimoto Asia restaurant in Disney Springs. I definitely recommend the pork bao and shumai off the Dim Sum menu, and also the Duck Ramen. Yum!

The Star Wars Launch Bay has opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and as a huge Star Wars fan, I was in heaven!

We spent New Years Eve in Epcot, which was quite the Party Central! Between drinks around the world, delicious food, and international dance parties, it was quite a memorable way to ring in the new year!

On the morning of New Years Eve we also got to take part in the Behind the Seeds Tour of the Living with the Land attraction at Epcot. This was a great value – only $20 (and they take Annual Pass and DVC discounts!) per adult and $16 per child for an hour and a half tour. The tour guide was very good and I learned so many interesting facts that you just don’t get on the regular ride.

We had some beautiful 80+ degree weather all week, which meant that we definitely appreciated Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom!

I finally got to try the Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room in the United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot. The scotch egg was definitely a favorite, followed closely by the fish and chips of course.

And finally, I attended my first ever bowl game and got to see Michigan win the Citrus Bowl! Yay!
