Last month our son Benji turned one – I can’t believe how time flies! I’m sharing all the details of his big celebration today on the blog!

It is crazy to me how fast the time flies with these little ones. It feels like yesterday when I was on maternity leave with this little nugget and he was the tiniest of tinies <3 It feels like last week that he could barely roll over, and just yesterday he was starting to crawl. And now I have a little man walking around my house yanking down magnets from the fridge and throwing his milk cup on the floor every chance he gets 😀

We decided on a Peter Rabbit theme for the party and there are so many cute options for decorations! These letter party decorations were a must-do in my book – they are so well made and so cute that we still have them sitting out on the counter! Check out some of the other decor items below!

We were fortunate enough to have some gorgeous 80+ degree weather for his birthday party, and spent plenty of time in the sunshine and playing some yard games!

This kid loves his food, and was excited to try his first cupcake! We love using Dimples Cupcakes! She is a local baker who makes the best tasting and most creative desserts in the area, so if you live in Southeastern Michigan you should check out her profile here! I love how cute the cake turned out, and the cake topper is my favorite 🙂

I went with a “garden lunch” party theme for the food, and so we had slider sandwiches, pimento cheese pasta salad (a must-try for anyone who is a Masters fan out there!), a simple salad, and fruit bowl. And of course – a mimosa bar for the moms and dads!

Overall, I think it’s safe to say this boy enjoyed his first birthday, even though his mom is a little sad that he is growing up so quickly! Here’s to year number two!
