A Casual Fourth of July Outfit

This year we’re celebrating Fourth of July in a more low-key way, and I’m wearing this casual Fourth of July outfit, including this comfy maternity-friendly sweater!

Happy Fourth of July week, y’all! I love this time of the year: so many get-togethers with family and friends, delicious food grilling on the barbecue, and lots and lots of s’mores. Obviously.

We’re spending Fourth of July this year at the hubs cottage, and I’m excited for a laid-back, low-key, beach bum kind of long weekend! Aren’t those the best kind? This look will be perfect for that type of weekend! Just thinking about going to a beautiful cottage is getting me excited for the July weekend, it is such a beautiful place to go to and very rustic. Cottages can take you right back and get you away from the hustle and bustle of city life as well as modern-day problems! Maybe we can factor in a cottage holiday every couple of years or so, go somewhere different, see what’s out there, who knows what we could find. Plus, if we ever decide to make the trip overseas to Britain, we can always check out one of those Holiday cottages in the Yorkshire Dales near a pub for a real English feel! That sounds like something I wouldn’t mind getting on a plane for.

This sweater tank is one of my favorite new finds from J.Crew Factory. I picked it up in red for the holiday, but it also comes in a gorgeous army green and a natural off-white color too, which would also be perfect for a casual summer look. I paired it with my favorite summer mules: these gold Halogen slip-ons! Unfortunately as I write this I see they are now sold out (womp womp) but don’t fear! I think they could come back in stock because they are a pretty perfect option for the summer and sold pretty quickly, and if not, there are verrrry similar styles for sale here, here, and here!
