Happy Monday, friends! As we jet towards Christmas, I wanted to share with y’all our Christmas 2021 home decor reveal!

Hey, friends! We are finally mostly finished with our Christmas 2021 home decor, and I wanted to share all the details with you guys in today’s post! However, before I do that, I would like to share a piece of advice with you.

Prior to starting decorating your house for any occasion, inspect which areas of your dwelling might need cleaning or repairs urgently. No guests would like to see beautiful decor around the house, if they can see the dirt and grime too! Be it the driveway, your deck or the inside of your home – it is imperative that you clean every nook and corner of the house. Hire professional power washing services if need be, but this is a must before you start your decoration plans.

That said, you must not forget about the repairs either! Especially when you’re planning to decorate the house with lighting, it’s necessary to check for any electrical repairs that your home might have. Regular maintenance of the house could make it easy when some special season is at bay. For instance, your windows might need repairs, or your eavestrough might need special attention from professionals who can be found easily if you visit this website. The reason I mention this is that you may have completed all your decorations, but the unrepaired eavestrough may be allowing moisture to enter the roof and then inside your home, causing a mess. At this point, your decorations and your hard work would all equate to zero.

You can also do other touch-ups to the house for the decoration to come out as a center of attention this Christmas season. Be it painting your walls and doors, adding a few indoor plants, refurbishing old furniture around the house, or repairing your furnace (for which you can go here), all these things could add to your home décor and make it more astounding.

foyer

The foyer is one of my favorite places to decorate for the holidays! From garlands to table decor, this space just lights up in the winter season. I like to use a garland of some type on our banister, and this year I opted to just go for the garland on one banister in the main section of our foyer as opposed to the full staircase (which has been quite a feat in years past, but I am sure I will tackle again one year!). I picked up some black and white ribbon as accent this year for a more elegant look. The table is decked out with faux trees, a galvanized house, and some beautiful red faux berries in a vase which I absolutely love for the pop of color they bring! Vintage skis are one of my favorite decor items each Christmas too 🙂

kitchen

The kitchen table is one of my favorite styled spaces this year! I picked up these beautiful tall black candlestick holders from Target, and I love the modern touch they give to our farmhouse style table. With a beautiful cedar garland (thank you, Costco!) and some pops of red berries, it’s a simple but beautiful display this year. I’ve been wanting to add small wreaths to the back of our kitchen chairs for a while now, and this year is the year!

family room

The name of the game for this space was “cozy and festive!” Lots of pops of red and cozy textures was what I focused on, as well as a beautiful live Christmas tree full of our ornaments from over the years that bring fall the feels!

dining room

This is another favorite spot of mine to decorate for the holidays! I love putting together our main large dining room tree, and I love decorating the table and other spaces. This year I also added a cool feature on top of our china hutch: a grouping of small faux Christmas trees with burlap wrapped trunks. I just love this little assortment of trees!

miscellaneous spaces

I’m getting in the spirit of decorating in other spaces of our house too, but not enough to dedicate a whole section quite yet, so I took a few vignette photos of some other Christmas-y spaces also!
