Happy 2022, friends! I don’t know about y’all, but I am ready for a new year. And our home is ready for a late winter refresh! I always feel that time of year between the end of the holidays and the spring is a weird time – especially here in Michigan. We are just getting started with most of our snowy, icy weather for the season, and it will be here for a few months still! So I’m not quite ready to fly into spring home decor yet, but definitely wanting to clear the house of the Christmas-specific decor.

Though I’m still not in the mood for spring cleaning, I want to take up the task of cleaning my house thoroughly. Maybe I will have my carpets cleaned and my windows made spotless. In addition to this, I might also hire the services of a Pest Control company to deal with the pest problem in my garden.

Having the house refreshed after the winter season is always a good idea — after all, the home may have seen quite a bit from Christmas décor to entertaining guests. To be honest, many homeowners don’t understand how their own homes feel, but I do. It is a place where I spend my time in solitude and peace.

So, yes, I would not mind thinking about the “cozy winter home edit” concept! This means lots of cleaning, lots of chunky textures, lots of warm woods and natural leathers, and lots of beautiful neutral colors with wintery undertones! I went searching for some new and affordable home decor finds at Target, and wanted to share all my favorites under $50 here on the blog today!
